Equipped BGI with a PA53 FS6 SCAN fluorescence scanning microscope system for whole-field scanning imaging and image analysis of fluorescence-labelled samples.
In sample preparation and result verification for sequencing and molecular diagnostics, fluorescence-labelled slides, arrays or cell preparations must be imaged across the whole field before software quantifies the signal. The PA53 FS6 SCAN builds on the PA53 FS6 fluorescence platform with scanning capability: it moves across preset regions and stitches the images automatically into a complete field, greatly reducing manual frame-by-frame capture and stitching.
We completed installation, fluorescence channel calibration and scanning parameter setup, and worked with the customer's software during integration so that acquired images feed straight into the analysis pipeline. Channel selection, exposure and stitching settings are critical to reproducible results, and were explained and demonstrated during handover.
